For the last few years I’ve been studying wine, sitting exams and working through practice blind wine tastings (IYKYK) at my kitchen bench either on my own, or forcing Rich to join in. Poor fella. Being out of the city and away from my study cohort, I missed joining the regular local student posse to practice my blind wine tasting along with the chats and connections. Sometimes, it’s just nice to know you’re going in the right direction.
Meet your monthly Blind Tastings, an informal way I’m hoping we can build a little wine learning community here @barwonheadswine
So, who is this for? Well, members of the public, students of wine & interested wine lovers who would like to practice their blind wine tasting and improve skills for wine exams. No matter your study level or course, you’re welcome. We’re just about bringing people together students and would be students of wine. Whilst we’ll follow the WSET tasting approach, we’re not formally part of WSET.
We’ll have four blind wines each monthly session to taste around our table. You’ll work through them yourself, write your tasting note and then we’ll chat together about the wines when they’re revealed. Lost at WSET? No worries, DM me or come and chat and we can tell you all about it.
Let’s meet up and taste. Sometimes the toughest part of studying is just starting.
Hosted by Erena, co-owner Barwon Heads Winestore, perpetual wine student.
