Richard & Erena Crowley
A chance encounter with champagne led Richard to change career direction from architecture to wine. Almost twenty years later, he still gets a buzz from bubbles, loves chardonnay and yes, he still has a soft spot for houses. Erena started work in the art world, moved onto food & wine event management and all the while kept her love of wine going on the side, working with her family on their local wine label, Nurringa Park. Erena is a French Wine Scholar and is currently studying the WSET Diploma.

Our Region

The Geelong Wine Region has a long and proud history as a winemaking centre. It burst  out of the gates in the early 1860s when the Swiss settlers saw potential in our soils and planted the first vines. A thriving wine industry followed. The aphid Phylloxera became a blight on the region and soon wiped out the industry.  In the early 1960s, vineyards started again to become established, growing into the famous, cool climate industry we have today.

Our region extends from Anakie in the north west around to the Bellarine, taking in the Surf Coast. Our maritime climate is perfect for the growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and you’ll find many local examples on our shelves.
