What's The Go With The Winestore Teatowel?

You might be wondering what the tea towel hype is all about at Barwon Heads Winestore... or maybe you've see the gorgeous thing hanging at the shop and thought, why the hell would a wine shop make a tea towel? Well, it's all about celebration and some of our favourite flavours.

Owning (and running) a small business with your other half is, fun. Most of the time. Anyone else know what I mean? I'm kidding, it's a great adventure. But being in small business is a long game and for us, having a little memento of the year that was is a nice way to say - we got there.

At the end of each year, we celebrate the past year with a painting by our mate Alison Turnbull, an artist we met when we first opened our shop. We wanted to include brands and scenes around Barwon Heads we loved - our first one had the Barwon Heads bridge and champagne, then G & T's off the beach in the backyard, rosé by the pool and this year, well, we've kept the love all about family.

Our family has a vineyard that was planted by my parents almost 30 years ago. We're on the Bellarine with a fabulous water view and plenty of great places to sit and enjoy the wines. Between us, we all help with producing our Nurringa Park brand (my sister in law Edwina does the heavy lifting growing the fruit, we sell the wine) and this year, we're imagining a chilled Nurringa Park rosé delivered direct to our hilltop folly by Edwina's bright yellow mini moke - looked on closely by wine dogs, Norman and Mayo.

It's all about accomplishing another year in small business and a celebration of family and wine.

Keep the good wine chilled this summer and Merry Christmas.

Erena and Rich (and our wine dog Mayo)
