Euro Trio
Preparing for a Euro trip this year, get ahead of the curve and plan your palate with a few of our European favourites.
Mastroberardino Greco di Tufo DOCG 2020
Fresh, mineral and showing a lovely length, Greco is a white wine with marvelous aging potential. Pear notes balance with fresh acidity making a delicious match with a risotto or grilled white meat.
Marie & Sylvie Courselle, Vin de France 'Le Petit Courselle' White 2021
Sauvignon Blanc (50%), Semillon (40%), Chardonnay (10%)
The Courselle sisters were considered rebels by their neighbours and with the wines they create vintage after vintage we can only love their work. Named Vin de France despite using quality fruit from Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux region) the use of Chardonnay precludes from being formally a Bordeaux release!
A delicious wine with notes of pineapple, passionfruit and subtle herbaceous touches, this is a another textural winner. All hail the rebels!
Les Athletes du Vin, Vin de France 'Pineau d’Aunis' 2020
Indigenous to the Loire Valley, Pineau d'Aunis is a medium red wine that has savoury spicy character balanced with strawberries, raspberries. Can handle a little chill, I like serving this at lunch, with charcuterie.
